Probably contemporary with Nos 18 to 21 Castle Street, earlier C19.

Exterior

High garden wall of stone rubble with coping, marks the boundary between Castle Street properties and what was formerly the forecourt on N side of Queen’s Head hotel (now demolished). Rear garden wall of No 21 Castle Street continues southward as E wall of open area and extends as far as entrance to vault under Market.
