History

Probably mid C19, perhaps with later shopfronts. The name "Viaduct House" refers to the demolished railway viaduct which formerly crossed the Struet about 30m to the South.

Exterior

Shopfront to No.98 has 4 sections, the two to R are windows each consisting of a set of 3 camber-headed lights, to L of these, a shop doorway with half-glazed door, then to L again a 6-panelled door to accommodation.

Reasons for Listing

Early-to-mid C19 pair with well-preserved character and good C19 shopfronts. Group Value with adjacent listed properties in The Struet.
