History

Exterior

Georgian 3-storey stucco elevations with end pilaster strips, moulded eaves band and 1st floor cill band. 2-window to Pier Street, 3-window to Eastgate. Hipped slate roof and rubble chimney stack. Moulded architraves to recessed small pane sash windows. Overall shop front with ramped fascia; shop window wraps around corner with Ionic pilasters to ends; similar pilasters flank Pier Street entrance to right, with panelled reveals, 6-panelled door and fanlight; former Eastgate entrance now a shop window. Ground floor of Eastgate Street front is part rusticated.

To the rear, remains of one of the ‘courts’ that led off Eastgate.

Interior said to retain interesting roof construction.
