History

Earlier C19; a building is shown on this site on Tithe Map. Later extensions to rear. Part of the former brewery.

Exterior

The south wing of the Old Brewery has stone rubble walls and a slate roof. The SW elevation has a two-light iron barred and boarded opening at the eves and, to a lower storey, a boarded two-light opening both to left hand and right hand of upper floor opening. L gable end has windows at several levels, upper window with stone dressings, lower windows with brick dressings; broad vehicle entrace to L. Rear of S block modernised. To rear, block at right angles, and higher block, both converted to residential use.

For special interest of S wing and for group value with No 1 High Street.
