Early C19, with loft converted to full storey in late C19. Probably the building marked on Wood's 1834 Map. Possibly the premises of Rees Rees, blockmaker in 1830, and occupied by sailmakers from mid C19. Appears in photo of c1869; advertised for sale as warehouse and sail-loft, 1884; by 1898, occupied by Western Counties Co-operative Association Ltd.

Exterior

Warehouse and sail loft. Four storeys, three windows; local brown stone with some alterations in red brick; slate roof, chimney to R. On ground floor, central sliding door is flanked by casement windows. Above this, 3 storeys with central loading doors (now converted to windows with casement glazing and red brick infill); on first and second floors, small windows to outer bays, sash glazing to first floor, casement glazing to second floor. On top floor, outer bays have larger tripartite small-pane sashes. North elevation shored-up at time of inspection. To rear, single storey at level with rear lane. To S, attached much altered block, and taller block in stone on corner with rear lane.
