History

Later C19.

Exterior

Club. Two storeys. Red brick with moulded brick detailing; mullion and transom windows with keystones to segmental heads. slate roof, brick chimneys. Four windows to Westgate Street; three to Quay Street, articulated by paired shallow pilasters. Storeys articulated by dentil cornices; parapet. Convex corner with aedicule to first floor has heraldic shield, panel with segmental pediment to attic.
Westage Street elevation has entrance in narrower 3rd bay, door surround with keystone to segmental head. Quay Street elevation has central 3-light window flanked by 2-light windows.
