History

One of a series of milestones set up after the establishment of the turnpike road in the 1820s.

Exterior

Slate-stone with simple chamfered top edge set in boundary wall. Inscribed "MILES" to top right corner with below in descending order "CARNARVON 7/ PENYGROES 5/8 TREMADOC 12".
