History

Built in the period 1810-34 and first shown on the 1834 town map. It was a shop in 1895.

Exterior

A 2-storey single-fronted house with rendered walls and slate roof. Openings are in late C19 architraves. A replaced door is to the L, R of which are 4-pane sash windows in each storey, beneath the eaves in the upper storey.

Reasons for Listing

Listed as a rare surviving small C19 house retaining early character and for its contribution to a group of well-preserved but humbler C19 urban buildings at the SE end of Pool Street.
