History

The plate and gnomen of the sundial appear to be C18 in character set on a roughly dressed square profile column of unknown date.

Exterior

Sundial comprised of bronze octagonal plate and gnomen, the plate ornately carved and bearing the name of Wilson, Nevin; set within a slate surround, the dial is set on rough square profiled pillar of local stone.

Reasons for Listing

Included as a C18 sundial which forms a group with the adjacent Church of St. Mary.
