History

Probably C19. The style is different to others in this area, and the road may have been operated by a different turnpike trust.

Exterior

A roughly-hewn square-section stone pillar, now white-washed. Large inscribed letters to N and W sides, infilled with black paint. To the N, the milestone reads '20 NEWT' and to the W, '8 MACHYNLLETH'.
