History

Built in the mid C19 and first shown on the 1861 town plan.

Exterior

A 2-storey 4-window house of scribed render painted cream, slate roof and brick stacks to the centre and L. The entrance to the R of centre has a surround with thin cast iron posts to an open segmental pediment, and fielded 2-panel door. Windows in the lower storey are 16-pane hornless sashes except for a similar 12-pane window at the L end. In the upper storey are 12-pane hornless sashes except for a 9-pane hornless sash window at the L end.

Reasons for Listing

Listed for its special interest as a small house retaining C19 character that contributes to the historical integrity of Rosemary Lane.
