Grimsdyke, October 2016

This private hotel (since 1970), was once the home of William S. Gilbert, of Gilbert & Sullivan fame, from 1890-1911. The original manor house was built in the popular Gothic Revival Style of the late 19th century and incorporated a late-Elizabethan element, with high moulded chimneys, red-tiled gables and timber framing.
