Cross at SW633348 South West of Clowance House

A Grade II Listed Building in Crowan, Cornwall

Nine Maidens Cross

Uploader's Comments

The cross originally stood on the greensward, by four cross-roads, at the north-west corner of Nine Maidens' Down. It was later found as a gatepost at Hangman Barrow, in Crown parish. It was removed from there to Clowance where it remains. As can be seen the cross is in very poor condition.
