1871 by G. E. Street. Vernacular Gothic style. Local rubblework with ashlar
quoins and dressings. Red tile roof, coped weathered verges. Facade to road
is 2 storeyed with string over ground floor, raised to right. Central pointed
doorway with ledged doors. Either side 3 light mullion windows; on 1st floor
2 mullion windows one with gable. Front garden enclosed by low local rubblework
wall of about 25 yds with plinth; angled to lychgate (qv). Behind the house
are the schoolrooms (extended) circa 1892, with Gothic mullion windows, gables
and tall stone chimneys.
