Road Bridge over railway

A Grade II Listed Building in Bishop Auckland, County Durham

Bishop Auckland West Ground Frame

Uploader's Comments

This ground frame controls the passing loop, installed in 2010, to a temporary platform about 600 metres west of the railway station at Bishop Auckland, which is occasionally in use for special excursions to Stanhope (Weardale). The ground frame is alongside the northern pier of the main arch and the massive ashlar blocks are clearly visible.
