Lodge: c.1870 for the Stanleys. English garden wall bond red brick.
Pink sandstone dressings. Purple tile roof with bands of
fishscaling and central stone ridge chimney. 1-storey and attic,
3-bay east front. End bays have a 2 or 3-light chamfered stone
mullioned window with a hood mould. Projecting open gabled timber
porch with pierced barge boards has bevelled stone doorcase with a
glazed terracota plaque of the Stanley arms behind. The gables are
shaped with stone coping and a pointed finial. Left end has a canted
bay window with 3-light stone mullion above, and rear has 1-storey
lean-to using similar elements to main body.

Very similar to but better quality than Bollington Lodge, Congleton
Road.
