Bank building in Classical style. 1863. Ashlar with rusticated
quoins. Hipped slate roof. 3 storeys with dentilled cornice over
ground floor, and dentilled eaves cornice surmounted by balustrade
with turned balusters and vase acroteria. 4 bay facade though 5
ground floor windows and one doorway. Left return bay treated as
facade. Ground floor openings have nook shafted pilasters supporting
stilted, moulded segmental heads with large raised keystones.
Spandrels are richly carved with foliage and grotesques. 1st floor
windows are square headed with guilloche frieze and square brackets
supporting canopy. 2nd floor windows have hollow chamfered reveals,
shouldered head, and apron.
