Barn approx 20 metres
to east of Upper Lumb
Farmhouse

Barn. c1800. Coursed squared stone, stone slate roof. 4 bays, the 2 on right
projecting at front and back as outshuts under catslide roof. Segmental arched
cart-entry with tie-stones to bay 2, stepped 3-light flat-faced mullion window
above. Outshut has similar window on left, mistal door with tie-stones at lower
level on right, and mistal door in left return. Rear: opposing cart-entry with
single-light window above, masked by C20 stable (not of interest). Right return:
2 single-light ground-floor windows, other inserted windows, owl hole in gable.
Interior: queen post roof trusses with collars and struts. Included for group
value.
