A Grade II* Listed Building in Skeffington, Leicestershire

Church of St Thomas A Becket, Skeffington

Uploader's Comments

Parts of the church fabric are late C13, but it was almost entirely rebuilt in 1860, adopting the style of the original building, late Decorated and Perpendicular Gothic. Coursed ironstone rubble with limestone dressings. The three stage tower has angle buttresses, paired foiled lights to bell-chamber, and embattled parapet with crocketted finials on angles. Three-light west window with Perpendicular Gothic tracery. (Photo Aug 2007).
