House. c1858; altered. White-painted render on brick, with
sandstone dressings and graduated slate roof. "Regency" Tudor
style. L-plan formed by double-fronted main range with back
extension to left.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 3-window range. Symmetrical, with a
gabled centre breaking forwards slightly. This has a gabled
porch at ground floor with a Tudor-arched outer opening (with
imposts) and a matching inner doorway (now with C20 glazed
door), and a lancet-shaped 2-light casement above (also with
imposts). The flanking bays have wooden-mullioned 3-light
casements on both floors, those at ground floor taller and
transomed. All these windows have raised sills, run-out
lintels with hoodmoulds, and narrow lights with slender
horizontal glazing bars.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Forms group with Nos 45 & 47 adjoining to the right (qv), the
former of which is probably of the same build.
