GV II

Row of five houses set back and high above road. Early/mid C19 with C20 alterations.
MATERIALS: Limestone rubble with rusticated freestone architraves and double Roman tile roofs with moulded stacks to the coped left gable end and party walls.
PLAN: Double depth plans.
EXTERIOR: Two storeys, one and two-window range. No.98a to left symmetrical two-window range with wide two/two-pane sash windows at eaves level, probably formerly eight/eight-pane sashes, and similar narrower windows to ground floor. Shallow pitched roof, C20 door. No.99 similar, one-window range, with rusticated quoin to right, chamfered architraves to windows, C20 enclosed porch and door. No.100 similar, two-window range, without quoin, with slightly steeper pitched roof and late C19 horned six/six-pane sash windows, to right six-panel door glazed to top in C19 gabled glazed porch with coloured margin panes. No.101 similar with original six/six-pane sashes and door, No porch. No.102 has one window range with plate glass sashes, rusticated quoins, C20 windows and door.
