History

C19 road bridge over the River Vwrnwy.

Exterior

Large squared rubble. Three segmental arches of raised V-jointed voussoirs with a raised keystone. Plat band and orthostatic parapet of scabled and margin dressed stone. Two water piers with radiused cutwater upstream, rounded tail and weathered copings. Two land arches on NW over flood plain with a cattle creep against the S abutment.

Reasons for Listing

Included as a handsome and unspoiled example of skilled bridge building within this parish, with details contrasting informatively with the bridges at Newbridge.
