Monument in black and white marble to -Penelope Northmore, wife of Thomas Northmore of Cleeve in County Devon Esquire and daughter of Sir William Earle Welby of this Parish Esquire, Sheriff-. After a long illness, patiently borne (morbid waters), she died 7 November 1790 age 23 years. The Northmore Arms (Gules a lion rampant or) are impaled with Welby (Sable a fess between three fleurs de lys argent) in the shield above. (Photo Sept 2012).
