Canal Lock Side Pond at SJ 947 537

A Grade II Listed Building in Endon and Stanley, Staffordshire

Lock pond, Hazelhurst junction, Endon

Uploader's Comments

The overgrown but still water-filled square stone and brick lock side pond basin at Hazelhurst junction, Endon. The wrought iron railed balustrade is on the north side of the basin as described in the listing entry. However, contrary to the listing, that is on the main Caldon canal side not the Leek branch side. At this point the Leek branch of the Caldon canal runs to the south of the site.
