Country house. Late C18 for the Kinglake family, partly refenestrated and extensively altered at rear 1985. Red brick,
Flemish bond, Ham stone dressings, parallel range, half hipped clay tiled roofs, C20 rebuilt brick stacks left gable
end wing and rising on returns of front range, C18 brick stack right gable end. Plan: parallel range with flanking
wings, parapets raised to fore gable ends. Two storeys, 1:2:1:2:1 bays, parapet with moulded cornice to main 5 bays,
centre breaks forward slightly, moulded cornice set slightly lower in wings with blind window openings, main block
12-pane sash windows with painted brick lintels, centre semi-circular head 9-pane stairlight window, flat string band
below, Ham stone flat roofed Ionic porch with pilaster responds, semi-circular headed doorframe with boarded fanlight,
6 flush panel door with inserted upper lights, reveals incised in the form of panels. Two bay returns. Extensively
altered and refenstrated on rear elevation. Interior: featureless apart from late C18 plaster cornice and painted pine
chimney piece front room right. An unexpectedly grand house for this area.
