Terrace of houses. Late C18 (similar terrace house at No 31
dated 1797). Grey/yellow brick with old red tile roof, hipped at
ends. 2-storeys. 5 handed pairs and a shop (D E Swallow: Handy
Stores) at S end facing onto Anchor Lane. The N house extends to
rear and has 2 canted bay windows with door between on the N
face. Each house has a door remote from the shared chimney and
one front window to each floor, above one another. 2-light
casement windows set flush. Doors and windows on each floor have
segmental arches. Traditional shopfront with twin canted oriel
windows on brackets joined under one roof with half-glazed door
between. Included for group value.
