approximately 35 metres
to south-west of Burton

Constable Hall
GV II
Bridge. Probably c1770 and probably by Thomas White or Capability Brown
with later restorations. Pinkish-brown brick in English garden wall bond
with ashlar dressings and cast-iron balustrade. 5 stepped round arches with
gauged brick heads. Modillion cornice. Balustrade with stone piers and
balusters with acanthus leaf vases. Moulded copings. Brick flanking walls
have ashlar band and plain parapet. Square end piers. Somewhat dilapidated
at time of resurvey. Pevsner N, Yorkshire, York and the East Riding, 1978,
