Farmhouse. C16 or C17 with extensive C20 alterations. Timber framed
with rendered infill and thatched roof. Two storeys. L-shaped plan.
Entrance front: 13 x 3 cells of uneven small framing. C20 door to
right of centre with 3-light C19 casement windows to either side. The
first floor has 3-light swept dormer windows to either side. C20
ridge stack to left of centre. Both sides and the rear of the
building have brick walls rendered in simulation of timber framing
with C20 fenestration.
Interior: Ground floor rooms have massive chamfered ceiling beams.
Ingle-nook fireplace with chamfered bressumer and ashlar side and rear
walls, and ashlar corbel at right supporting the bressumer. Four
plank doors survive. The first floor rooms have 2 queen post trusses
and wind bracing to the purlins.
