Lock keeper's cottage, now house. Circa 1800 with C20 alterations. Slatestone
rubble. Hipped asbestos slate roof with 2 axial stacks and stack to end left with
rubble shafts.
Plan: 3-room plan, room to right heated from an axial stack, central room heated from
an axial stack to left, end left room heated from a stack at the left end. Small
single storey stable attached at the left end, now incorporated as part of the house.
Single storey lean-to at the right end.
Exterior: 2 storeys, asymmetrical 3-window front, all C20 casements. Entrance into
the room to right through C20 plank door. Stable to left has 2 C20 windows and
doors. Left end has 2 C20 windows at first floor. Right end has small single storey
lean-to, and C20 window at first floor. Rear has C20 window at ground and first
floor to right and left.
Interior: Not inspected.
