GV II

Town house; now sub-divided vertically into 3 units with shops to
ground floor. Mid C18. Brick; chevron dressed sandstone to side
(E.) elevation; rusticated stone quoins; stack; timber eaves
cornice supporting cast iron guttering. 3 storeys. No.1 is
rendered and painted. Late C20 shop front. Mid C20 enlarged
first floor window. Blocked 2nd floor opening. No. 3: altered
late C19 shop front with 3 fluted columns supporting fascia.
Late C19 square bay window with sashes and glazing bars to first
floor. Semi-dormer to 2nd floor in form of late C19 canted bay
window with sashes and half-pyramid Welsh slate roof. No. 5:
altered late C19 shop front with 3 fluted columns supporting
fascia. Early C20 bow window to first floor. Sash with glazing
bars and stone sill to 2nd floor. Brickwork: painted. Rear (S.
side) extensions are not of interest. Included for group value
with No's 7 and 9 Westgate.
