GEDDINGTON SP8882 QUEEN STREET 1337-0/14/255 Bridge over River Ise 25/02/57 GV II* Bridge. Circa 1250, with later repairs. Limestone ashlar, coursed rubble and squared stone, southernmost arch lined with blue brick. 4 arches, 3 pointed and one round one (second froms) which is inscribed 1784. Upstream (w) side has cutwaters (2 northern ones with moulded string) carried up as pedestrian refuges. Downstream (e) side shows signs of rebuilding, retains a fragment of string course above the second arch from north and reveals the top of a blocked arch some distance to south of river. Plain parapet with slightly cambered coping to bridge and long approach from north and south. Scheduled ancient monument.
