Row of 4 cottages. Late C18 or early C19. Painted render over
cob or rubblestone, continuous thatched roof with rubblestone
and brick stacks. One- and 2-unit plans with rear wings and a
C19 pantiled lean-to, now a garage, to the left. 2 storeys;
Nos 38 and 44 are 2-window range, 40 and 42 one-window range.
C19 three-light casement windows, those to the first floor at
eaves level. C19 segmental-arched doorways; that to No.40 has
a pedimented hood, probably C19. INTERIORS not inspected.
