Hotel. Late medieval open hall with gable end to road and C18
extension to front right refenestrated to front in C20.
Timber-framed building refronted in stucco with old pegtiled
roof and brick chimneystacks. 2 storeys and attics: 5 windows
to front, 3 to side. Front elevation has 3 flat-roofed dormers
with casements. 1st floor has 5 C20 casements. Ground floor
has 4 C20 bows and C20 wooden doorcase with wide flat hood on
brackets. Left side elevation has 1 hipped dormer, 1 12-pane
sash and 2 casements, 1 with leaded lights. Right side
elevation has C20 casements to attics and later bay.
Interior has C17 well staircase with early C19 stair rail to
rear right side. Internal wooden mullion blocked by staircase.
1st floor has exposed jowled posts and a C16 3-plank door.
Inglenook fireplace reported, concealed by C18 and C19
alterations and crownpost roof.
