Railway workers accommodation. 1842. Architect Francis Thompson. Part of same terrace block as nos.1 and 2 Midland Place (qv). Red-brick, 2 storeys and cellar, with stone band at 1st floor and decorative brick treatment to coped parapet. Slate roof. 5 windows to Calvert Street facade and 2 to Midland Place; modern casements in former sash spaces. Rounded corner with former shop front, wooden cornice, pilasters and corner entrance. Bricked-up doorway on Calvert Street with stone hood on brackets.
