GV II

Public house. Late C18/early C19. Red brick, roof part plaintiles and part
pantiles. L shape plan. Main range 2 storeys, north wing 2 storeys and
attic. 4 window range, 3-light casements, segmental arches; ground floor
windows with modern paired wooden shutters (replacements for the originals). 3
doorways with boarded doors, one doorway with simple gabled hood; above
central doorway is the name 'CROWN INN' in wrought iron letters bowed out from
the wall; a further inn sign on scrolled wrought iron bracket to right hand
side. Brick eaves dentil cornice. North wing with 3-light ground floor
splayed bay window. Attached to the south is a single storey stable block.
