C16 and later timber framed house. Square panel framing with red brick infill
and 2 asymmetrical gables. Lower rendered part to west with old tiled roof hipped
at western end. Off centre chimney. Main part has 2 windows on brackets with
mullions and transom. Small window in each gable and a hipped roof dormer. Centre
door with small flat hood on brackets. Western part of 2 storeys with 2 casements.
Interior. Ogee stop chamfer cornices and moulded beams. Door behind fireplace
may have been Priests Chamber or powder closet - said to have been connected with
Roche Court (qv) by a secret passage. C17 panelling. 2 fireplaces with caryatids,
1 with carved panelling, the other with fluted Ionic pilasters, lozenges over fireplace,
cornices and arcading between caryatids.
