Lowndes House

GV II

Mansion. Mid C19, altered, probably c1900. Stucco. Roof not visible. 3
storeys and basement. 7 windows wide. Rustication to ground floor and through
full height to third and fifth bays. Central projecting entrance with coupled
Doric columns and balustraded balcony over. Windows square headed. Sashes,
glazing bars. Central first floor window with segmental pediment. Stucco
ornament over second floor central window; mask keystones to ground floor. Rich
modillion cornice. Cast iron spearhead railings. Interior not inspected.
