Roden monument approximately 40 metres north west of the tower of Ryton Parish Church

Churchyard memorial. Mid C19. Painted sandstone. Neo-classical style. Square in section, resting on globe supports to the corners, tapering outwards to the top with projecting moulded ledge, capped by an urn finial with Greek key fretwork. Inscriptions to Anne, wife of William Roden, died 1843, and Thomas Roden, died 1845: the monument rests on a two-stepped plinth over the bricked-up family vault.
