Includes: No.21 BROOK ROAD.
Row of houses, now also used as shops. Late C16. Timber-framed
with plain tiled roof. 2 storeys, 8-window range in all. Long
range and cross wing. Cross wing to right refaced in brick
painted in imitation of timber-framing, square panelled
framing exposed in return elevation. Inserted shop front to
ground floor, and casement window over. Main range also framed
in square panels with arched bracing and middle rail. Doorway
to left, with projecting 3-light casement window alongside,
and inserted early C20 shop front in centre. Doorway to right,
and wide passage entry beyond. Upper storey jettied with
moulded bressumer. 3 upper projecting 3-light casement
windows. Gable and axial stacks.
