House, now offices and attached area railings. Late C18.
Brick, with stucco and ashlar dressings and hipped slate roof.
Plinth, sill bands to each floor, renewed wooden eaves. 3
storeys plus basement; 2 window range. Main front, to Castle
Place, has on each floor 2 glazing bar sashes with wedge
lintels and keystones. Second floor windows are smaller.
Basement has 2 segment-headed tripartite windows. Outside,
cast and wrought-iron area railing with chamfered ashlar
plinth.
Entrance front, to Hounds Gate, has to left a round-arched
doorway with steps and fanlight, and panelled double doors.
Segment-arched glazing bar sash to right. Above, 2 windows on
each floor, mainly glazing bar sashes.
