C18. 3 storeys. Front on slight concave curve. Stucco with flanking pilaster
strips. Plinth. Steep pitch hipped slate roof. 6 windows, no glazing
bars, on 2nd floor. 3 large windows, 4 panes wide on 1st floor. All with
flush frames. Ground floor has central early C19 projecting shop window
with curved sides, 10 panes wide x 4, with plain frieze and delicate moulded
cornice. Canted bay window to left sashes, glazing bars intact, plain frame
and shallow cornice, stucco base. Small 2 light window to right with colonettes
dividing and flanking, rounded corners to panes. Shop door (No 50A): recessed,
double, 2 flush panels and 2 lights with removable flush shutters. Shop
door and small 2 light window are both framed with Cl9 stucco pilasters
and cornice.
No 50 entrance to left is set in a 2 storeyed stuccoed extension with moulded
coping similar to facade of Nos 48 and 49 (qv). 1 large sash window, glazing
bars intact, in flush frame, to lst floor. Recessed 6 panel door with architrave,
cornice and pediment on cut scroll brackets.

Nos 48 to 52 (conse) form a group.
