House, now 2 dwellings. Mid C18, converted C20. Coursed stone,
rendered. Low-pitched stone slate roof with coped gable ends
and shaped kneelers. Quoins. 2 storeys, 5 windows in plain
stone architraves. Central fielded-panel door with 3-pane
overlight in plain stone architrave. End stacks. The main
entrance is into No.40, the entrance to No.42 is in a lower
2-storey bay set back on right.
