Dovecote and garden wall. Mid C18. Dovecote coursed rubble sandstone on north
and east elevations and brick with ashlar dressings on south and west facing
garden; Welsh slate roof. Wall has sandstone rubble outer and brick inner
leaves with flat stone coping.
Dovecote: 2 storeys, one bay; north boarded door under wood lintel; gabled wood
panel at eaves has pigeon holes and deep wood frame. West door one metre above
ground, giving access to pigeon loft. Plain stone surround to boarded east
door; small fixed light on south. Pyramidal roof. Interior: 2 storage rooms
on ground floor; pigeon loft with nesting boxes above.
High wall extends eastwards from dovecote, breaks forward and returns westward
to form enclosure for kitchen garden open on west towards lawn in front of
house.
