Late C19 in red brick with stone dressings. Originally a fire station. Comprises
a central, lantern clock tower with bracketed eaves and spirelet with weathervane.
On the right, a 2-storey gabled element set forward having 3 windows to the first
floor, a modern shop-front at ground level and 3 carved heads set in the facade
immediately above the new fascia. To the left, a further gabled element, but single
storey, probably of later date and now converted to public lavatories.
