Terrace houses. Late C.18, refacing of late C.17/early C.18 houses.
Painted brick, slate roofs. 3 storeys and dormered mansards. Each front 2
windows wide. Ground floors have mid to later C.20 frontages. Upper
floors have recessed sashes, no glazing bars, under flat gauged arches.
Parapet with coping. Square headed dormers with slate-hung cheeks. Rear
elevation of No. 22 incorporates original gable. No. 22 interior retains
panelled passage-hall and 1st floor rear room; dog leg closed string
staircase with turned balusters and column newels. No. 24 interior has
late C.18 dog leg cut string staircase with thin square balusters. Part of
the Pulteney Estate late C.17 development.
