1685 (datestone). Very altered. Farmhouse, part of farm terrace. Rendered.
Pitched stone slate roof. Central stack. Small occasional stone brackets
to gutter. 2 storeys. South elevation: Ground floor; Entrance with deep
lintel with false arch and chamfered reveals and bears inscriptions: IEW 1685
and AH 1852. Four modern casements. Continuous drip moulding over ground
floor windows and doorways and continues across No.1 Berry Greave. First
floor; 2 modern casements. One 4-light stone mullioned window (chamfered)
(2 mullions removed). North elevation: Rendered 2 storey outshut extension
obscures original north wall. The extension has former chamfered and recessed
stone mullioned windows (mullions removed). An original doorway within entrance
porch, has large lintel with Tudor arch and chamfered reveals. Inscription
on lintel reads AH 1852 IEW 1685. Above doorway is former 2-light stone
mullioned window (chamfered). Original oak door was in use until recently
and is stored in outhouse.
