Pair of cottages now one house. Dating from late C17 but mainly
late C18. Hammer-dressed stone with rubble sides and rear, stone
slate roofs. Single-storey single-cell to left attached to 2-storey
single cell, originally single-storey, raised to 2 storeys late C18
but with single-storey outshut to rear. Cottage to left has 2-light
chamfered mullioned window and doorway with monolithic jambs (now
window). Cottage on right slightly set back, has doorway with monolithic
jambs to left of window with plain stone surrounds. 2-light flat-faced
mullioned window to 1st floor. Gable stack to right.

Interior : Housebody of 2-storey cottage has large fireplace with
basket-arched bressumer and chamfered surround. To left of fireplace
remains of stone spiral-staircase set in the depth of the wall. Spine
beams are large, one with ½-lap joint and broad stop-chamfer and may be
re-used crucks.
