Pump adjoining No.5

GV II

Water pump. Early C19. Cast-iron in form of Tuscan column,
with swelling stone base, ornamented with City of London arms,
cap with swirls, curved cast-iron handle, cast-iron trough on
stone base. Manufacturer's name 'Turner, Dorset St, Fleet St
London' in raised letters around neck below cap. This pump
predates the reconstruction of the dormitory blocks in the
school yard by about 100 years.
