C17. White-washed and roughcast over stone rubble, old slate roof, Two low
storeys. Each has a glazed and panelled door and adjacent window, and
one 16-paned sash window above in half-dormers, with dripstone over ground
floor. Rock Cottage has a modern timber porch. Left hand return side
of Wayside (facing road) is a gable end with centre door, small gable/hood,
and small-paned sashes. Omit later cottages attached on north end of Rock
Cottage.
Croft Hotel, Croft Lodge, Nos 1 to 5 (consec) (Croft Courtyard), Cobbled
courtyard with mounting block and pump, Gatehouse, Howsley Cottage, Wayside
and Rock Cottage form a group.
