One of the earliest rural, purpose built Co-operative stores. Circa 1890. Original
public reading room above shop. Two storeys in red and grey brick, grey slate
roof with gable to street. Three window range at first floor, tall double hung
sashes, with glazing bars, and segmental heads. Moulded brick reveals, with
stucco springings and keystones. Small timbered section in upper gable. Heavily
moulded vergeboards. flipped grey slate canopy. Two of the shop windows have
their original pilasters and timber panelling below.
